The Ask

How to Become a Working Actor was created to help actors understand the business side of building a professional career.

The idea was to turn the client's experience and knowledge into an online video training program covering areas such as branding, marketing, finances, and networking.

They needed the brand, website, and technology to bring the program together in one place.

The Work

I handled the project from start to finish - developing the brand, designing the site, and building the platform in WordPress.

The core of the site is the training program. I built the user accounts, video lessons, and progress tracking so that people could sign in, work through the material, and keep track of where they were.

I also worked on the site's SEO and the structure of the content so that the site could serve both people looking for information about the acting business and people taking the course.

The Result

The finished site gave the client a way to turn their knowledge into an online training program, with the website and course delivery in the same place.

Visitors can learn about the program and its approach, while registered users can work through the lessons and track their progress.

It's a good example of a project where the website needed to do more than present information. It needed to deliver something.
